A Brief Moment of Gratitude

Five years ago, I was buzzing around urban NJ and NYC. If you told me then that the creatures above would be some of my favorite and regular lunch companions, I would have laughed at you. Not because I would have thought that these ladies would be anything but gracious and lovely meal buddies. But because I couldn't imagine living outside of wonderfully vibrant and mostly peaceful cities. But then came the lockdowns and defund the police. Nope. I never voted for that. The ensuing open-air psychiatric facility became the wakeup call that I didn't know I needed. So, thank you to Governors Murphy and Cuomo and to all the very smart and virtuous people who screamed at me almost every time I left my house without a mask. Also, to the enraged beta Dad who called the cops on me and tried to physically intimidate me in the outdoor park because I wouldn't wear a mask - you did that in front of my kids and when the topic of lunatic leftists come up, they love to tell people how their Mom told you to shove it up your ass. To the crazy librarian who followed me around the library because I wouldn't wear a mask, to every insane and dangerous motherfucker who threatened me for walking around my former city and not complying with your tyranny - to you, I say the same "fuck you" that I said then. In many ways, I really am very grateful for your behavior. And I'm grateful that photo memories pop up and remind me of all the collectivist bullshit that I left behind. Free America is best America and me and my bovine besties are living our best lives here!

Phew, I feel better now.

And on a somewhat calmer note, if you are also a blue state refugee, please remember to get and stay active in your new towns and states. I hit the ground running when I got here and have been as active as I can be, even with a busy life. You don’t have to do very much. Attend a meeting, volunteer to be a poll worker, talk to a few neighbors - do anything to try to protect individual liberties. When the lockdowns started, I watched neighbors go into a police-state mindset with a snap of their nasty and rude fingers. They were eager to count guests in their neighbors’ homes, so that they could call the cops to report that someone had too many guests (that was a crime at the time). They were very pleased to call the cops on mothers taking their toddlers out for a stroll and reporting them when the baby crossed the police tape lining the playground. They were thrilled to physically intimidate smaller and weaker people and yell at them in public to try to get them to comply. In short, they behaved like the collectivists they are and like every collectivist in history. Red and purple state people need to understand that the same things can happen in their states if they allow leftists to take over. Do what small (or large) amount you can in your communities to keep them out of power if you value your freedoms.

God bless America and God bless my cow friends. I get to eat lunch with them about once a week. Those walls of meat are surprisingly friendly and very calming. I wasn’t expecting that but what the heck did I know about cows?
